How your custom workout plan is built
You start by answering a few questions: how long you've been training, what you want to achieve, how many days a week you can get to the gym and what equipment you have.
From that, the app generates a complete plan: the exercises, the order, the sets, the reps and your starting weight. All in less than a minute. It then keeps adjusting the plan automatically as you progress.
Why a personalized plan beats a generic template
A generic template doesn't know whether you've been training for two weeks or five years, or whether you have three free days or five. The result is usually too much volume when you're starting out, or too little to keep progressing later on.
Symmetry's plan starts from where you actually are and changes with you: as you log workouts, the programming adjusts so it stays effective.
3, 4 or 5 day splits
Your week is laid out around the days you have. With three days, training the whole body every session usually makes sense. With four or five, splitting muscle groups across the week lets you give each one more volume without cutting into recovery.
What the plan prioritizes also depends on your goal:
- Build muscle: more volume per muscle group, with progression in reps and weight
- Build strength: priority on compound lifts and on progressing the load
- Lose fat: hold on to your strength and muscle while you take care of your diet
Who it's for
Anyone who trains at the gym or at home, from complete beginners to advanced intermediates. If you've ever wondered which exercises to do, how many sets are enough or how to organize your week, the plan answers those questions for you.
And if you train at home, you tell the app what you have, and it builds the plan around bodyweight, dumbbells or resistance bands instead of a full gym.
